Has anyone modeled a 480vac inverter output from a PV or fuel cell using SKM?
I called SKM tech support and was told the present version 6.5 does not have a component for this. However PTW version 7.0 will have an inverter output component, in a few months. (PTW 6.5 does have an "Inverter" component but is only used for DC Load Flow.) They suggested using a synchronous generator to model the inverter output. 225kW @ 480vac. RMS fault current is 495A for 10 cycles (0.166 sec).

I would think that you could get closer characteristics using a VFD output instead of a synchronous generator.
