| Post subject: | Electrical hazard labelling standard, beyond AF |
Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone has ever comes across a standard or guidance on electrical hazard labelling - beyond what we're all familiar with for arc flash & shock hazard labels. I'm thinking about labels for other hazards such as stored energy (such as capacitance in large drives), battery energy storage systems, equipment with multiple sources of power, etc. I'm looking at developing something for my organization, but first checking to see what else may be out there. So far, I can't find anything. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! |

Look at Jim's simplified AF label write-up. I like it for a number of reasons... Mike |

I don't know what specific regulations govern maritime operations, but LOTO, Lock Out Tag Out procedures are used in industry to safely deenergize all equipment in a process before going beyond safety barriers to do work. Many examples exist. |
