Without question the fellow made the biggest discovery of modern times, but anyone here agree with me that he was very lucky later in life to not get killed by his arcing theatrical displays? Also, it seems modern authors are grasping at straws trying to tie his inventions to every modern technology as if to say he had that all figured out. I think the man's accomplishments earn better respect if not embellished with hopeful connections. Any other thoughts on this fascinating fellow? |

Tesla's story is pretty amazing. There was a movie "The Prestige" about two magicians and they had Tesla as part of the movie (Played by David Bowie). Although some of it was fiction, there were some pretty dramatic displays of Tesla and his "arcing theatrical displays" [url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpU93XJic7M&feature=related']You Tube Video[/url] A good scene (Hollywood style) is around 3 minutes into the video clip. |

m any of his idea,s played over into radio and other inventions in the eletronic and eletrical field. pictures of him setting next to a testla coil at ft collins, colorado (?????) always draw my interest every time i see them. it may have been a interesting time to live and yet his living conditions at the time of his death were very inglorious. |

I was in San Francisco in May and outside a store waiting for my wife when I noticed this tattoo on a young lady. I asked why she had a tattoo of Tesla and she replied he was great man and did not want him forgotten, so this was her way of keeping his memory alive.
