OK..NFPA 70E 130.7 (B) (6) (a) States The PPE for Hand and Arm Shock Protection "shall be rubber insulating gloves with leather Protectors...." In NFPA 70E Table 130.7(C)(10) Hazard/risk Category 0 referances "Leather Gloves (AN) (note 2) " note 2 goes on to mention rubber gloves etc. so? are we just talking "leather Gloves" only? or leather gloves with rubber insulating gloves ? Clarification anyone |

Right, the rubber is for shock protection, the leathers are to protect the rubber from damage. This table is for arc flash protection, not shock protection, so leathers only. Unless you cross the RAB, then you need the rubber gloves. Make sense? P.S. Looks like you have an older version of the 70E, things are a little clearer in the new version. |
