Howdy, Is there any information on the practice of plugging extension cords end to end to increase the length. I had thought this practice was not acceptable and was documented someplace...???... Thanks, B.T. |

You need to check the cord manufacturer instructions. Most cords have a tag on them when new that says do not plug extension cords end to end. Our company just made it easy and said no unless we purchase specific cords that are designed to lock together. |

Daisychaining electrical devices such as cords Sorry I said NEC issue. I was implying not a specific NEC citation but the intent of the NEC which is primarily fire and shock prevention to the public. One of the primary causes of fire is improper and/or daisychained extension cords according the NFPA studies/statistics. That was my meaning. This is also a common OSHA citation. Hope this is helpful and more accurate. |

<<change the older 30 amp male plug on your RV to a 15 amp male plug, that way you can use a standard 15 amp extension cord and in those campgrounds that dont offer 15 amp power you can get the 30 amp to 15 amp Campground adapter for less than 5. Your local RV dealer could really use the business right now>> Thanks so much for your prompt response |
