By detecting faults in low- and medium-voltage switchgear, UL-listed Arc Guard System(TM) TVOC-2 prevents injury to personnel and equipment damage. Product carries functional safety rating of SIL-2 when installed along with Emax circuit breakers, detects arc flash in less than 1 msec, and will disconnect power to switchgear within 30-50 msec typ. After optical sensor detects light (arc flash), arc monitor determines intensity, and signal is sent to trip breaker(s).
