Laws in the United Kingdom require that for companies and organizations that show evidence of serious management failures which resulted in a breached duty of care can be found guilty of corporate manslaughter. This has been the law since 2008. This means that in the U.K. organizations can be held for criminal liability without regard to the organization's size when there is a workplace fatality.
