We jaust had an electrical safety/arc flash class and the instructor stated that any tool or test instrument inside of the restricted boundary required us to wear PPE for that class. We have several Hazard risk catagory 0 equipment that is 480 volts. We use extended 24" test probes to keep our hands outside the 12" restricted boundary and of course our PPE for catagory 0. Are class 00 insulated gloves required?

Crossing the RAB with an uninsulated tool is the same as your body crossing the RAB. But insulated probes are a different story.
