In reference to 70E, am I correct to assume that the insulating gloves are not required for simple Arc-Flash PPE, but only when crossing the Prohibited Approach Boundary? Conversely, when the insulating gloves are coverered in leather protectors, that they are an acceptable part of the Arc-Flash PPE? What do the Class ratings of rubber insulating gloves signify? Are they simply voltage ratings? |

Yep, the class is the max use voltage, the type is the material they are made of. |
